So the American Idol winner has been adjudged. David Cook who won by a mile over fellow finalist David Achuata, has been advised by a former winner, Jordin Sparks to try and sleep now that he has won it all.
She says, “Sleep as much as you can because you don’t get any sleep. It’s a year later and I still haven’t gotten a whole eight hours of sleep yet - I’m still reeling from winning last year.” And when asked by People magazine who she wanted to be crowned as the winner of this year’s hit U.S. talent show, Sparks remained diplomatic, claiming she had voted for both finalists.

Apparently this is something that most of us may find similar in our case. Being excited with a high adrenalin rush in our heads will surely make us hyperactive. But while that is true, do consider your health. You may have won something for your troubles but apparently you may be losing a health battle if you are not careful.

We are all aware of the term getting the proper beauty sleep and there is no better person to help share their insights on its effective nature other than this famous diva name Anne Murray. She is an acknowledged star in the world today and apparently the key towards retaining her overall beauty is her sleep periods.
Her advice on sleep may not be applicable to most of us, but for the women who want to retain their beauty, it would be best to check out what she has to say on how to get the right amount of beauty sleep.
“She is a bottom-line, no BS, straight-up as tough as anybody in the business,” says Terry David Mulligan, the television and radio personality, who has been watching Murray perform since those days in the late ’60s. “People would look at her and think she was a Doris Day type. She’s not. You don’t mess with her. People are very loyal to her. I like that about her, that she wouldn’t take any guff. She was a woman in a male-dominated business and so she had to do that.”

As far as looking for good remedies towards sleep disorders is concerned, people will get a lot of advice on what to do. Relaxation is one thing that many lack and it is apparent that is an active element in making people go to sleep easier.
Just look at Justin Chambers who from a previous post had a serious sleep disorder. We mentioned relaxation as a good tool and Chambers seems to have found that in yoga.
He tells Usmagazine, “I’m doing really good - I’m actually sleeping. I am really enjoying life
“(Bikram Yoga) is where you sit in a 104-degree room, and you stretch for an hour-and-a-half, I swear by it - it’s incredible.”

Yummy Mummy Sleeps for only Four Hours
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung April 10th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP Celebrity, SLEEP News.
Apparently, the amount of sleep we get depends on the lifestyle we choose. Celebrities and well known personalities in the world today have their share of having to sleep less to be able to live up to their various commitments, mostly on the social side of their lives.
Such is the claim of acclaimed “Yummy Mummy” Myleene Klass, a model and former Hearsay star who has multiple offsprings. But if you want to survive in the world today, you just have to adjust properly and hope that you find the day where you be able to get the proper amount of sleep to go through the rigors of everyday life.
‘I think the ‘yummy mummy’ tag is really funny. I don’t feel that yummy first thing in the morning or during the night feeds. Mums with multiple children - I just don’t know how they do it,’ said Myleene to the Daily Mail.
‘So many people want to be a singer but it’s the lifestyle they go for. But it’s also about getting up at four in the morning, doing a night feed and then going to work then getting home at midnight. It’s a tough job.’

Biological Sleep Disorder Haunts Grey’s Anatomy Star
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung March 31st, 2008 in Health Issues, SLEEP Celebrity, SLEEP News.
Being in the showbiz industry can take its toll on you and such is the problem that Grey’s Anatomy star Justin Chambers confessed. Apparently, this was the result of his battle with exhaustion, something that he described as a biological sleep disorder.
It is safe to say that a lot of us suffer from the same problem even though we are not aware of it. In our minds, we feel we can go the distance without sleep. As they say, you can sleep a lot when you grow old. But while you are in the prime of your life make the most of it.
But the matter of health is also a matter to be considered. Remember that we are not robots. We are humans and our internal organs need sufficient rest in the form of sleep to be able to withstand the various rigors of a competitive life.
Chambers tells People magazine, “I suffer from a biological sleep disorder. Your body is tired but your mind keeps racing. You lie down and then you get up and pace, and then you lie down but you can’t fall asleep.
“It’s like a dog chasing its tail. You get to your wits’ end. I went a good two months without really sleeping.
“So a specialist I had been working with referred me to UCLA. They gave me (medication) in a private room with a connection to the outside, and I slept. Two days there was perfect.”
