Covidien Completes 2 Sales Transactions

Covidien, perhaps more popularly known as a company that is involved in the sale of special chemicals and sleep therapy products has announced the consummation of two sales deals.

They received about $280 million for the sale of its specialty chemical business to an affiliate of New Mountain Capital while selling its sleep therapy products biz to PH Invest. No idea on the terms of the deal were disclosed.

The sale included products sold under the GoodKnight and Sandman brands.
