You may have probably heard about cherries at the top and now it looks like the same holds true for getting better sleep. That is of course after this study which revealed that a glass (or two) of tart cherry juice could help improve sleep thanks mainly to its melatonin-rich content.
The study was carried out among 10 healthy men and 10 healthy women aged at about 26.6. They took in the tart cherry juice in a span of seven days, where improvement in sleep measures were reportedly recorded. Sleep efficiency reportedly increased by 5-6% while the total sleep time increased by an average of 34 minutes per night.
The tart Montmorency cherry juice was supplied by CherryActive (UK).

This is very interesting. I have never heard anything about this before. I could sure use some better sleep, so maybe I’ll give it a shot.
