We are all aware at the number of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) cases being reported but with this new baby romper, a lot of lives may yet be saved. Courtesy of the researchers over at the Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration, this romper comes with a stretchable circuit board which contours with a tots’ chest and stomach.
The device works by following the movement of the baby’s chest. Sensors are wired to detect any changes, including ones which detect the breathing of your child. Once a child stops breathing, an alarm goes off.
This way, parents or guardians will be made fully aware to somehow resuscitate the child and avoid being a SIDS victim.
The board itself is made from polyurethane and should be a cool device to consider for concerned parents.
