If you are among the folks having to content with the dreaded bedbugs and the like, the new Fibertrap technology may soon change all that.
The new material comes from the Stony Brook University Center for Advanced Technology, an effective discovery aimed at trapping the dreaded bedbugs while also stopping termites too.
Fibertrap is said to be 500 times thinner than the human hair. When spun, it results in a nanofiber form that should be tight enough to trap the legs of the said pests so that they can no longer escape and wreak more havoc.
They will eventually die in the fiber, unable to breed or feed – offering an effective non-toxic approach to control bedbugs and termites, two extremely prolific and damaging pests.
