For married couples, listen up. At times either you or your partner may be having some sleep problems and while they are classified in various states, being bugged with Parasomnia seems to be the last situation you would want to hear.

Just take the case of this Englishman, Derek Barfoot, who at 75 has been restricted from sleeping alongside his wife due to some weird attacks on his wife while sleeping. Apparently it was a case of sleep terror and the unfortunate receiver of the whole attack was his wife, Elaine.

Parasomnias are disassociated sleep states that are partial arousals during the transitions between sleep cycles. Examples of these disorders include confusional arousal, sleepwalking, and in Barfoot’s case, sleep terrors, where the person causes physical harm to property or people and cannot remember it afterward.
