Sleepy Students Results from Eco-Friendly School Buildings
We are all encouraged to go green. But while you are at it, you need to consider the small things like air passage to which carbon dioxide may be boxed up too much, causing drowsiness and kids to sleep more. CO2 levels can displace oxygen, making pupils drowsy and less capable of absorbing information.
So if that was the case, why go green if you are defeating the purpose of educating kids? We all want to conserve. That is a given. But if it means sacrificing something in return, there is something terribly wrong.
There is no point pushing for energy reduction if kids are falling asleep.’ The findings will be a blow to the Building Schools for the Future programme, which aims to rebuild and renew 3,300 secondary schools in England. To date, 42 schools have been transformed.
