The Free Spirit Spheres offer something like that, an alternative that offers something different from the usual hotel rooms. Pretty much spherical at the outside, the inner features may just blow you away.
The spheres are located over at Vancouver Island, British Columbia where guests are charged $145 CAN per night to stay in them. The spheres are made from wood and fiberglass, each costing roughly $150,000 to make.
The inside of the spheres boast of comfy and elegant sleeping quarters which are pretty much far from what a person would initially expect from the outer appearance. However the Free Spirit Spheres are not recommended for the folks who are afraid of heights.
The spheres are set 10 to 15 feet above the ground.
