Where Should Sleeping Dogs Lie?

As far as hygiene is concerned, most of you will agree, pets such as dogs should sleep outside our rooms. But there has been a tradition for most, especially the kids, to want their pooch sleep in their room for security reasons. By security we are of course referring towards psychological and physical in nature since we may not know when unexpected intrusions may occur.
But the thing is, would this be healthy for us. Remember, when we are in slumber, we are unaware of the things going on. Normally, these pets carry unseen insects or mites that may find their way to us. Add to that their fur may also be a cause for other problems such as asthma, assuming of course that they are the hairy breed.
Overall, parents normally disapprove of such a setup on such occasions. Rare as it may seem, we just have to consider various consequences before we let the health aspects of our bodies and our children get out of hand.
