There are people who believe that staying awake and sleeping less can force them to lose weight but based on studies it can be the exact opposite. A lot of this stems from the fact that our body metabolism and burning calories while we are awake are at work which unfortunately is not the case. One key thing here is working too much. While we cannot stop ourselves from sleeping above the average sleeping hours, people have to adjust and make do with the minimal sleep naps that they have for the reason that they cannot risk losing their job and of course support for their families. Part of the reason we’re sleeping less is that we’re working more as the era of the 8-hour workday seems to slip away. One-fourth of respondents have a workday that lasts between eight and nine hours, another fourth say that they work between nine and 10 hours each day, and nearly a third report working 10 or more hours each day. And even when the … Continue reading →
a

And even when the workday day is done, the work itself is not. Many of us are taking our work home with us the survey found. Almost one-quarter (23 per cent) of all respondents said they did job-related work in the hour before going to bed at least a few nights each week.

If you think you are doing yourself a favor by sacrificing sleep to lose weight guess again. It is the exact opposite. You are gaining weight and putting yourself at risk of illnesses, especially heart-related problems. Remember that you are no longer young and the body metabolism slows down in the process. But the real deal here is your health. Better read more of it here to find out how you can adjust to getting the proper amount of sleep. There is even a video there you can watch. Ouch, it’s time to go to bed, right? But now you can’t fall asleep because you heart is pumping from excitement over the latest news. After a couple of weeks, you notice that you lack energy, and aches and pains are arising that you have not had before. You start to make appointments with doctors to get to the bottom of the pains. Yet, nobody can find anything wrong. You try physical therapy, pain medication and natural remedies. Still no success. Might sleep be the cause of the issues?
