		<description><![CDATA[Contrary to our beliefs that sleeping may be a cause for excessive weight gain, it can also be a good way to help us lose or maintain weight. There are people who believe that staying awake and sleeping less can force them to lose weight but based on studies it can be the exact opposite. A lot of this stems from the fact that our body metabolism and burning calories while we are awake are at work which unfortunately is not the case. One key thing here is working too much. While we cannot stop ourselves from sleeping above the average sleeping hours, people have to adjust and make do with the minimal sleep naps that they have for the reason that they cannot risk losing their job and of course support for their families. Part of the reason we&#8217;re sleeping less is that we&#8217;re working more as the era of the 8-hour workday seems to slip away.
