The Perfect Present of Sleep This Holiday
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung December 24th, 2007 in SLEEP News, Sleep Therapy.
Nothing beats being able to get that much needed time off and sleep from the grueling year that was. Many people have encountered sleeping difficulties and the best way to try and make up for it is Christmas day when practically everyone is on vacation.
You may say that it is a form of forced vacation. All around the world everyone is celebrating Christmas and while many are feasting and having reunions, there will be plenty of time to sleep and rest, even for just a day.
Sleeping through some parts of Christmas day can be the best gift that all people can enjoy.

Getting an early start and doing a little bit each day will save time and relieve stress. Delaying your ‘to-do’ list until the last possible minute not only leads to sleep loss, it also makes one contend with heavier street traffic and more aggressive crowds in stores,”

Taking Advantage of Christmas Day

So what are your plans on Christmas day? Some people would gather together around meals while others may even go out taking time to provide that much awaited quality time that has long been demanded from them by their families. But to some, it is a good opportunity to rest and recharge through sleeping. Be reminded that not all people are able to get proper sleep no thanks to busy schedules that are usually demanded from them through work or any undertaking.
Indeed, some may consider it a good time to recharge and rest their laurels. Sleeping through Christmas day may be a waste of time to others but then again it is best to look back at the busy year they had to go through to understand why sleep would be the best thing to do on this special holiday.

“I’m so tired on Christmas Day, all I want to do is sleep.”
But all the hard work is worth it when he gets pleased shoppers visiting in the New Year.
“We often get people in thanking us for giving them a good Christmas,” he said. “That’s a nice feeling.”

Does Santa Claus Really Come While You are Sleeping?
1 Comment Published by Brian Yalung December 2nd, 2007 in SLEEP Fun, Sleep Myths.
Call it a myth, but this is what most grown-ups instill in the minds of children, something to evidently control their enthusiasm once December 25 nears each year. Yes on the eve of his supposed trip, children are expecting presents from the man in the red coat. But of course we all know that at some point, you have to reveal that parents or guardians are usually the ones who give these gifts while they are sleeping.
The thing with kids today is that they are afraid to take risks and this should be the case. Imagine a Christmas without Santa Claus? Now that would be something to which the yuletide season will not really be complete. Besides, it has been said, he knows who is naughty and who is nice so better sleep before the clock strikes 12 because if you do wake up on Christmas day, chances are you may not find any gifts under the Christmas tree right?
And don’t forget the milk and cookies since hiding and waiting for the kids to sleep may altogether make Santa wannabes hungry and sleepy as well.
