Poverty and Sleeping Elders
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung August 16th, 2007 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News.
The issue of poverty is a reality for most parts of the world. While there are nations who do not show a striking number of poverty stricken individuals, they can be seen from the homeless elders, or often termed as “bums”, who look for rest and slumber in any public place they can.
It is a fact that these people who are often found asleep in parks would be reprimanded and directed to go somewhere else. But to do they have somewhere else to go? Some would often be content finding a dark alley or abandoned building to sleep temporarily. But a permanent home is what they do not have.
Bums and low life people may have done some mistakes and wrongdoings in their prime but just like us, they need to get their share of sleep and respite as well. It is hard to understand the cycle, but as far as sleep is concerned, it is a definite need for anyone in the world.
