Music is a key ingredient for people who want some help when it comes to sleep. Portable media players would be great but to make sure you don’t disturb the person beside you, headphones are recommended for better private listening. While earphones and headphones are available out there, it remains that geeky and stylish ones are readily available. Something like these SleepPhones which should be a deceiving looking headband that is actually a lightweight headphone in disguise. The device is comfortable for the ears, lightweight and can be alternatively used to fend of loud noises or snoring people around. They are machine washable and made from recycled plastic which were assembled in the US. The SleepPhones should be a great treat. They can be yours for about $40 and are available from Amazon.com.
For sure a lot of people cannot sleep with all the noise around them. This would largely depend on which area you are situated in. Which leads us to ask, does wearing earplugs damage our ears? As far as blocking off noise, they are not damaging to your ears. However, it seems that if you look a bit further, long-term use may cause ear wax to build up. Ear plugs block the outward flow of ear wax that our bodies naturally produce in order to self-clean the ears. Foam plugs are often pushed in too far, which can also pack the wax deep inside your ear canal, and possibly against the eardrum. Well that is a thought for you to consider. Either you can live with occasional use of earplugs or maybe transfer to a quiet and more soothing place to sleep in.
If you are sleeping heavily then perhaps you will not mind covering your ears. Dynamite is known for making such loud noises and apparently this Dynamite Alarm clock is bound to get you out of bed in a jiffy. Waking up in the morning is rarely exciting or even interesting for that matter. Well now you can wake up to dynamite every single morning. It doesn’t get much more exciting than that. Granted, it might not take away the Monday morning blues, but it might at least on occasion give you enough of a laugh to cope with the morning a little better. Although being so tall and slim it would be far easier to knock this over or on a particularly grumpy morning, be chucked at the wall. All around, it’s just recommended that you use the clock with care, which is probably best as jumpy as people tend to be. Imagine being skiddish over something ticking that looks like a bomb, people are so weird. The clock runs on 2 AAA batteries, has a backlight display and will cost you £14.99 or $29.68.
When it comes to sleep and taking naps, the right pillow is the best way to get it done. And fortunately, there is a great pillow that you can try out over the traditional ones. It is called the Sound Asleep Pillow. The Sound Asleep Pillow is a great invention which if you enjoy listening to music and also sleeping then you will really enjoy this. The Sound Asleep Pillow has a built in speaker which you can connect to your iPod, other MP3 players, CD players and most radios. With this you get surround sound music straight to your ears whilst you drift off to sleep or even just while you rest your eyes. If you find it hard to get to sleep this could really help having some low level music or a sound of your choice playing in the background. Another plus to this great gadget is that if you want to listen to music or the radio you can without disturbing your partner when they are asleep. The Sound Asleep Pillow is a lot easier to get to sleep with than trying to listen with earphones in which tend to be very uncomfortable. If you would … Continue reading →
a

Traditionally, noise is a problem for people to sleep. Especially if you are situated in the urbanized areas, chances are you may have trouble sleeping with cars running and even horns honking here and there.
