Is It Really a Good Morning for America?

Most of us focus a lot on how to be productive but are we really aware of the diseases and illnesses around us? Sleep, something that people take for granted the most is perhaps one of the worst enemies you may have to face. Worst, you may not even know that you have a sleeping problem unless you have regular visits to your local physician.
Apparently majority of the people today may have this unlikely sleep abnormality. We are all pretty much focused on trying to survive but unless we give it much thought, are we among the majority of sleep deprived individuals today?
Well we just have to open our eyes to reality. Sleep issues are there but we normally fail to associate them with sleep disorders. Check this out:
Do you wake up in the morning with a dry mouth and sore throat? Are you irritable and tired throughout the day and suffer from headaches? Do you have trouble remembering or learning things? You may be among the 90% who have no earthly idea they are victim to one of the most common types of sleep related breathing disorders, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). This condition disrupts breathing while you are asleep, sometimes over 100 times throughout the night. You may have no recollection that you struggled for breath, snored, choked and gasped to get your breath back.

Sleep Deprivations Deprives Us Fulfillment
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung June 9th, 2008 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
As far as getting proper sleep is concerned, most people who have found themselves searching for it have obviously found themselves on the losing end and apparently are underachieving. This includes being successful in your career, work, and most of all, maintaining a healthy body and lifestyle.
People today are geared more towards doing more, meeting deadlines and sacrificing by pushing themselves to the limit. At first this does sound noble and something others should follow by example. But if you talk about putting yourself in high risk by leaving your body an open battlefield where diseases and illnesses can penetrate then that is another story.
You cannot expect to be fulfilled and successful if you do not rest and sleep. We can see this as our haggard bodies show something that is missing. If we do have problems with sleeping, a short visit to the doctor or specialist really wouldn’t hurt.
“For healthy people, there’s a big temptation to voluntarily restrict sleep, to stay up an hour or two or get up an hour or two earlier,” said Dr. Greg Belenky, director of the Sleep and Performance Research Center at Washington State University Spokane.
“But you’re really reducing your productivity and exposing yourself to risk,” Belenky added.

Lack of Sleep, Loss of Life?
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 4th, 2007 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Many would call it an exaggerated point of view but lack of sleep may indeed lead to loss of life if health is continued to be overlooked. The main agenda here is not really on sleep alone but the overall health of the body as far as getting the necessary respite to generate the needed nutrients and recharging of tired body cells.
Abuse of the body is certainly something that no ordinary being can withstand for long. It will always come to a point where people will suffer illnesses and some signs of deteriorating health concerns.
This is one reason that some people resort to vitamins and additives everyday to help offset the lost nutrients. But then again, overall rest is still the best alternative for people to consider today for continued health maintenance and living.

Lack of Sleep, Lack of Anti-Bodies, Dangerous Living…

It may sound like a broken record or even an elementary way of taking up health concerns, but again, not getting enough sleep will surely open up the body towards critical openings that will allow diseases and illnesses to set in. Worst, it may even lead to an early funeral for some, leading to a point where people may not have much time finding out what alternative courses of action should be considered to retain overall health.
Surely, this is a metaphor that only the sleep deprived patients can address. It is without question that people need sleep even if they tend to do the unlikely scenarios.
