As far as trying to get peaceful slumber is concerned, any person who may be pressured or stressed from work is sure to encounter some psychological problems when it comes to sleeping soundly. It may not necessarily be work. It can include a rude co-worker or an inconsiderate boss. Lack of sleep sets in when you are trying to find a way to even the score or perhaps try to keep their mouth shut. Most people often bring these problems at home. They find little space to be able to sleep on it. Such stressful acts can contribute a lot to stress which in turn deprives us of our much needed sleep. “Massive changes over the past half-century have reshaped the workplace, with major implications for sleep,” Burgard said. “For many workers, psychological stress has replaced physical hazards.” (Source) Fresh News a co_worker, How to sleep better, lack_of_sleep, peaceful_slumber, psychological_problems, sleep, Sleep Business, Sleep Issues, SLEEP News, Sleep Psychology
a

This is of course with due reference to sleepwalking which is a known behavior that stems from fatigue and lack of proper sleep. Is sleepwalking good or bad? Well more on the latter. It typifies an abnormality and misbehavior on our part and if we are not careful, it may lead to something disastrous since technically, we are unaware of where sleepwalking may eventually bring us.
Many people have always believed that stuffing themselves with food to take the place of usual sleeping habits has been a good way to combat insomnia and known sleep deprivation issues we hear of today. Obesity has been another area for health concerns and surely, there is an association between sleep deprivation and obesity as studies from the National Sleep Foundation have shown. The whole theory is quite ridiculous. While some people believe in it, it is an unhealthy way of living and making up for lack of sleep which is obviously a need today. Food has its own role in maintaining health and sad to say, it is not a good substitute when it comes to trying to make up for lost sleep.
Many would call it an exaggerated point of view but lack of sleep may indeed lead to loss of life if health is continued to be overlooked. The main agenda here is not really on sleep alone but the overall health of the body as far as getting the necessary respite to generate the needed nutrients and recharging of tired body cells. Abuse of the body is certainly something that no ordinary being can withstand for long. It will always come to a point where people will suffer illnesses and some signs of deteriorating health concerns. This is one reason that some people resort to vitamins and additives everyday to help offset the lost nutrients. But then again, overall rest is still the best alternative for people to consider today for continued health maintenance and living.

Call it enthusiasm and excitement whenever a yuppie would get his hands on the latest gizmos or gadgets such as an iPod or a Wii. Sleep will surely be foregone since the important thing above all is to explore extensively these gadgets until they get the hang of it.Hence, “Junk Sleep” is the product of such foregone sleeping patterns. Instead of getting the required 8 hours of sleep, kids ranging between 12 to 16 would usually make do with 4 to 7 hours of sleep, way beyond the necessary respite that bodies and brains would need. The result is of course obvious. Lack of sleep means waking up groggy and having to combine the senses and make sure that they still have sanity and awareness when they are awake. The Edinburgh Sleep Centre’s Dr Chris Idzikowski warned: “This is an incredibly worrying trend. What we are seeing is the emergence of ‘Junk Sleep’ – that is sleep that is of neither the length nor quality that it should be in order to feed the brain with the rest it needs.
It is practically a common belief that for people who have to forego sleep, turning towards food as an alternative source of energy can more or less make up for the lack of rest or sleep. However, this does not entirely hold true. Sizing up the human body in making do with overeating in lieu of lack of sleep can lead towards unhealthy circumstances.Worst, it may even lead to foregoing the whole itinerary of sleep since people will most likely not get the required amount of sleep and will end up being overweight. It may be weird to note that people think that lesser sleep and allowing food to take its place can control the body hormones. This is entirely untrue and a person is also submitting himself towards more health hazards rather than avoiding them. Many of us blame the lack of sleep towards a person’s own preference but there are really medical inclinations that can be traced towards why people are living that way. Lack of sleep or sleep apnea is a serious case to ponder upon, especially if people cannot really sleep at proper times and even when they try to make up for the lost sleeping time. Add to this the fact of health problems such as epilepsy as will be shown in the video then you have a serious problem to worry about. Finally, many people should consider that the lack of sleep may result in health problems as well. We should remember, not getting enough rest as needed by our bodies will affect various areas of the human anatomy. a epilepsy, Health Issues, Health Issues, health_problems, human_anatomy, lack_of_sleep, Sleep Apnea, Sleep Apnea, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Video, Sleep Video, sleeping_time, sleep_apnea
a

Many people would ask what would be the reason for experiencing sleep paralysis. Well for one, it is believed that the brain functions in advance over the human body, and while sleep paralysis is indeed something that would frighten any normal being, it is only temporary. But if there is one main factor that could lead to sleep paralysis, it is that of lack of sleep or sleep deprivation.
Sooner or later, people who are on the go will have to take heed that lack of sleep may claim lives if not incapacitate people. Such mishaps can be seen. Many point this towards falling asleep behind the wheel or being drunk which many of us now is a prime reason for falling into these dizzy traps we encounter. We all want to get to our own homes and lay on our beds as quickly as possible. But in able to do so, we must make sure we can reach them first. Attending events or forever being on the outside and trying to socialize or earn a living should have its own share of limitations. As humans, we will all get to the point of that need of rest since that is how our bodies work. Hence, the next time you may be traveling by car, make sure you are fit to drive. Lives need sleep but not permanent ones where we may not wake up soundly anymore.
Similar to the financial aspect of things, lack of sleep outside the usual recommended 8 hours of sleep may be something worth checking out. People in need of sleep will often be seen haggard and contain scattered thoughts. The truth of it all is that people need to make up for their sleep, termed as sleep debt, something to which people should make up after some time. But this is not entirely easy. Breaking the usual sleeping routine and trying to get back to normal sleeping hours is easier said than done. The basic about all of it is that sleep is something that cannot be compromised by people to which they can go back and lead the normal methods of sleeping. Sleep debt may be a good way to make up for it, but expect some side effects along the way. Breaking the cycle of sleep cannot be typified to an automated system where making up for lost ground is that simple.

Some may call it an act of laziness while others may attribute it towards the lack of sleep owing to the preferred lifestyle that a person would be living. But in all, siestas would be something that people would regularly want to enjoy, especially in the afternoons and regardless if they are working or not. Siestas should not be typified to long sleeping breaks to which people need to recharge their bodies of energy needed. Some would consider siestas only if they would have the time for it. Housewives or people who would find themselves in the wall of their homes can enjoy such at any time of their preference. For people at work however, the need to take such siestas is limited towards allowed breaks such as lunch breaks.
Many of us would encounter sudden slip of the moment reminders, most of which would stem from lack of sleep. Lack of sleep in turn affects the brain, yearning for the proper amount of rest to take a break from endless thinking in daily chores and activities. Many would say that this is only here say, but based on studies as quoted below, sleeping helps improve memory recall in more ways than one. Throw out the ginkgo. Forget mnemonics. New research suggests there’s a simple way to lock in new info: Sleep on it. Researchers at Harvard Medical School in Boston asked 48 subjects to learn a list of 20 pairs of words and then tested them 12 hours later on their recall of the pairs. Some subjects were taught the words at 9 a.m., while others learned the words at 9 p.m. and then went to sleep. The results, to be reported this week at a neurology meeting, were a wake-up call for all-night exam crammers: Subjects in the sleep group remembered 12 percent more words from the list than subjects who learned the words at 9 a.m. Half of both groups also were asked to learn a second … Continue reading →
a

But for people who find themselves in predicaments where they have to extend the hours where they should be awake, chances are they have to resort to the alternative measures to make sure that their eye bags will not be totally revealing.
