Moms Will Get Their Sleep Day

For mom’s bearing the child is one thing that makes them experience sleepless nights. This runs on until the first few months of the newborn and chances are they would become frustrated and entirely weak for the first few months of the child.
Unless of course you get a nanny or someone to help out take care of the child, these are given factors that mothers will have to deal with this sleeping problem. However, after some years when the child becomes a little bit older, these are perhaps the years when mothers can look forward to try and recover lost ground when it comes to trying to regain lost sleep.
Compared to the old ways of trying to sleep, they can look forward to better nights ahead. While there may still be some sleepless nights on case to case basis, the thing is, the gravity of the lack of sleep becomes lighter this time around.
(Source) A study suggests that sleep deprivation after giving birth may limit a new mother’s ability to shed her pregnancy-related pounds. Women who slept five hours a day six months after giving birth were more than three times likelier to keep weight on compared with women who slept seven hours, say researchers at the Kaiser Permanente Division of Research in Oakland.

Sleeping Wisely by Controlling Video Game Addictions
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung November 10th, 2007 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, SLEEP Psychology, Sleep Issues.
It is evident that most people today, particularly the kids and teens have had more sleepless nights due to overplaying their game consoles and video game gadget made available in the market today. A lot of these games include that of Xbox, Playstation and Wii game consoles, all hot commodities which provide family and home entertainment.
However, discipline seems to be lost in the fray. Rather than saving play for later, a lot of gamers have chosen to play until the early mornings even during school days. The result is lack of sleep and risking health as well. Parents and guardians must step in if they re to control this problem. It may be hard at times, but being their elders, it simply must be controlled for health reasons sake.

Insomnia is a familiar term to which people may have lack of sleep or have difficulty sleeping at times. For Britons, a new term called semi-somnia has been termed. They define semi-somnia as:
A term coined by leading sleep expert Dr Neil Stanley to describe persistent low-grade exhaustion due to poor sleep.
The definition alone can be associated with most people who have trouble sleeping. Sleeping disorders and problems are really getting dissected by the day and for sure, many are slowly whittling them towards the direction of how to discount graver conclusion to which may become exaggerated.

The Role of Obesity in Sleep Deprivation
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 9th, 2007 in How to sleep better, Insomnia, Sleep Apnea, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Many people have always believed that stuffing themselves with food to take the place of usual sleeping habits has been a good way to combat insomnia and known sleep deprivation issues we hear of today. Obesity has been another area for health concerns and surely, there is an association between sleep deprivation and obesity as studies from the National Sleep Foundation have shown.
The whole theory is quite ridiculous. While some people believe in it, it is an unhealthy way of living and making up for lack of sleep which is obviously a need today. Food has its own role in maintaining health and sad to say, it is not a good substitute when it comes to trying to make up for lost sleep.

Lack of Sleep, Loss of Life?
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 4th, 2007 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Many would call it an exaggerated point of view but lack of sleep may indeed lead to loss of life if health is continued to be overlooked. The main agenda here is not really on sleep alone but the overall health of the body as far as getting the necessary respite to generate the needed nutrients and recharging of tired body cells.
Abuse of the body is certainly something that no ordinary being can withstand for long. It will always come to a point where people will suffer illnesses and some signs of deteriorating health concerns.
This is one reason that some people resort to vitamins and additives everyday to help offset the lost nutrients. But then again, overall rest is still the best alternative for people to consider today for continued health maintenance and living.
