Allergies Cause Infant Sleep Disorders

We often observe that kids would sneeze or even suddenly get up to scratch that itch when they are in bed. When we see these things, we can only try to assist and soothe them through giving lotions or even simply being there to guide them. But wait a minute; shouldn’t we also consider the fact that to be able to check out this stuff, their sleep is disturbed entirely?
Allergies contribute to sleep disorder. It is a fact that these irritating episodes force kids, even adults, to have to wake up due to these inconveniences. We rarely value them as important. But taken as a whole, they are notable contributors hence it would be wise to seek treatment for allergies to limit these sleep disturbances and get that much needed sleep due to our kids and ourselves.
Out of the parents whose kids had allergies, many suffered from lack of sleep, a fact that made it harder for them to function at a high level during the day.
“We have known anecdotally that children are affected by allergy symptoms similarly to adults, but Pediatric Allergies in America offers the first data quantifying the scope of how allergies interrupt a child’s productivity, sleep cycle and daily functioning,” said Dr. Jay Portnoy, president of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
