Sleep Does Not Cure Migraines
1 Comment Published by Brian Yalung September 7th, 2008 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
So now it can be told. Just when we thought that the best cure for migraines was to sleep on it, studies have now revealed that it can actually aggravate it! Apparently, the common knowledge and belief we had ever since was that migraines can be cure by sleep or from pain killers.
But now, this may explain on why at times we are wondering why migraines continue to persist even if we do sleep more than 9 hours. Thus, it is best we follow the standard sleeping hours and try not to sleep more unless we can handle these migraine attacks.
Researchers at the Clinic of Neurology at University Hospital Zvezdara in Belgrade found that patients who slept for longer than nine hours had more frequent migraine attacks than those who slept less.
The findings were released at the European Headache and Migraine Trust International Congress in London on Sunday, at the start of Migraine Awareness Week.

Sharpening Memories Through Sleep
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung May 20th, 2007 in Health Issues, SLEEP Psychology, Sleep Myths. The human mind is a part of the human body that operates all throughout, even without body movement from the various parts such as the arms and legs. Brains functions continuously and strains which come in the form of headaches and migraines are a certainty, especially when people have to input everything needed for them to be able to think and make decisions at certain moments.

Sleep is the resort that most brains can turn to whenever the need for rest and regeneration of strength is needed by the human brain. Many people choose to forego resting or sleeping, choosing to maximize their time and lean more towards being productive than resting.
However, without sufficient sleep, brains and bodies will reach a point where they may break down and succumb to potential illness and shortcomings. People become haggard and tend to forget some things in an instant. This is perhaps one aspect that sleep has which people should start considering. Sleep recharges various parts of the body and this is a reality that people have to take into consideration.

Sleeping Relieves Headaches
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung May 16th, 2007 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, Sleep Disorders. For people who suffer headaches ever so often, some may be due to lack of sleep. Many people abuse their body system and a lot has to do with the proper rest required for bodies to regenerate and function properly.
Sleeping is perhaps one of the more common issues we have today. Lacking in sleep will lead towards migraines and headaches, making the day all the more despicable to people who want to carry out their chores and routines in the normal manner that they are inclined to be.
There are people who just cannot seem to kick the habit. A lot has to do with stress and work-related matters. Some resort to medication such as aspirin or other known medical pills that can take away the pain. But these are only temporary and continuous reliance on them may immune body systems making them entirely useless.
The fact of the matter is that headaches stem from something such as bodily abuse of proper respite. People need not look further at times. Checking out their next sleeping hour schedule and the length of it as well may be all that is needed.
