Sleep Well with a Sleep Cycle Tracking Watch
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung November 16th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP Gadgets. The amount of sleep have a bearing as to how we would carry out our day and our moods as well. Of course, you all know that lack of sleep is like waking up the wrong person at the wrong time and for what it is worth, it would be best to keep track of sleep, only if it were that simple.
But with this new device, the Sleep Cycle Tracking Watch, you can perhaps monitor your sleep and know when to wake up at the right time. It is somewhat similar to a modern day alarm clock only that you can monitor when you move (when you are almost awake), and wake up at the right time in a given window. Ideally, you feel refreshed every morning, ready to jump out of bed.

Quality Sleep Can Rejuvenate Moods
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung July 26th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, SLEEP Psychology, Sleep Disorders.People who get incomplete sleep for one reason or another are likely to become cranky at times and others can only try to understand and get along with them for the meantime. Quality sleeps is essential to setting the tone and mood for most people today. Logically, how can a person relate or even get along with others if he alone cannot understand himself?

Such is a common thing we see for the people who lack sleep. Aside from being drained, their emotions are surely something that will be tender and picky. But once they do get their proper respite and sleep to make up for their lacking sleep endeavors, you will be surprised at the immediate change in mood and character. Who can blame them? Once you are rejuvenated you are bound to feel like a million bucks!
Dr Nilesh Dave, medical director of the Sleep and Breathing Disorders Centre at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre, says: “When you get good-quality sleep and enough hours of it, it is amazing how much better patients’ moods are, how much better they’re functioning. They’re truly happy.”

Sleeping Beauty Becomes a Beast
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung March 27th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Sleep is synonymous to the proper amount of sleep and something that most of us need direly if we want ourselves to be rational at times. But the question here is do we have the proper means of getting the ideal sleep practices and ensure ourselves that we have fully recharged from a hectic day while being awake?
Chances are that our moods will be the telling factor. People who sleep more are expected to develop a worst condition of having to manage their personal selves especially if they lack rest and sleep. All of us are only human and to be grumpy or even grouchy at times is only something we can expect when we are tired or lack the amount of sleep to settle our minds back to our sane selves.
Not getting enough kip can also contribute to feelings of hostility and anger, though the researchers found women were more likely to be made grumpy by a lack of sleep than men were.

Sunday Sleep Produce Monday Grumpiness
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung January 21st, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Most people consider Sundays as the day where they can readily rest and sleep all they want. It is like a mini-vacation of sorts for them, normally staying at home and not having to rise early for work.
While it is only once a week, it may account for this acclaimed “Monday Sickness” which we would usually describe our grumpy and grouchy moods when the time comes for us to work. No wonder many people hate to get up on Mondays!
It may explain that Monday morning feeling - research has found that Sunday is the most sleepless night of the week.
Nearly 60 per cent of employees have their worst night’s sleep of the week on Sundays, a survey claims, with restless nights forcing one in four to call in sick on a Monday.
Disrupted sleep has also been blamed for a lack of concentration at work (46 per cent) on Mondays, increased irritability towards bosses (30 per cent) and the odd impromptu nap at the desk (20 per cent).
