Newscasters and reporters would usually have to work round the clock, sometimes affecting the entire body clock as far as trying to get the proper resting and sleeping period. However, trying to cope up with the needed sleep cycle may not be easy for some public serving news people as some just have to keep on going since the show must go on.

However, there are times where you just cannot stay awake for long. Hopefully it does not happen on occasions where live segments are being aired.

Most people will push themselves to the limit in most given occasions. But while people would say that they can handle being awake on extended hours, it may soon catch up on you.
