Obesity Can Lead to Poor Sleeping Habits

It is practically a common belief that for people who have to forego sleep, turning towards food as an alternative source of energy can more or less make up for the lack of rest or sleep. However, this does not entirely hold true. Sizing up the human body in making do with overeating in lieu of lack of sleep can lead towards unhealthy circumstances.Worst, it may even lead to foregoing the whole itinerary of sleep since people will most likely not get the required amount of sleep and will end up being overweight. It may be weird to note that people think that lesser sleep and allowing food to take its place can control the body hormones. This is entirely untrue and a person is also submitting himself towards more health hazards rather than avoiding them.

More Sleep, Healthier Slimmer Children
0 Comments Published by Max February 17th, 2007 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News.
Here’s an interesting article about how sleep can make your children more healthier and slimmer.
They found that children who get more sleep tend to have a lower body mass index (BMI, a ratio of weight to height) and are less likely to be overweight five years later, than kids who get less sleep.
Sleeping an extra hour a night reduced the chance of being overweight from 36 percent to 30 percent in young children, and from 34 percent to 30 percent in older children.
