Let this be a warning for people who sleep in their cars. 59 year old Pamela Somerville ended up a bloody mess after being maltreated by a police officer for reportedly refusing to submit herself to a drink-drive test while sleeping in her car at a rural area near Wiltshire in July of 2008.

But the thing here is the car was not mobile and hence in a fixed state so why require a drunk test? Regardless, it seems that the police ended up concluding she was drunk owing to her awkward behavior while sleeping in her car.

Eventually it all turned ugly leading to an assault case on a certain Sgt. Andrews. Lesson? Be wary of where you sleep and be wary of getting into trouble with the authorities. You may end up a mess!

For slipping a dietary supplement to make kids sleep, former church daycare worker Pamela Hartley has been sentenced in Cincinnati to time in jail. She slipped the said supplement in candies and gave them to kids for them to sleep.

She was convicted for three counts of child endangering and three counts of misrepresentation by a childcare provider and was sentenced to six months, but all but 30 days of the sentence was suspended. Additionally, she also faces three years of probation.

Hartley gave kids melatonin to make her work easier at the church day care. Now she has been ordered never to work as a childcare provider ever again.

Two former day care workers from Ohio have been charged with three counts of child endangering and three counts each of misrepresentation by childcare provider for slipping an OTC supplement into candies to make kids sleep during nap time.

Parents complained that their kids looked groggy after being picked up from the day care and were notified of the malpractice when a co-worker notified police in December that Hartley and Scott gave the children melatonin in candy. Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone that helps control sleeping and waking cycles. Possible side effects of the supplement form include dizziness, abdominal discomfort, headaches, confusion, sleepwalking and nightmares.

Pamela Hartley and Donna Scott got most serious charges that could be applied.
