The Alice PDx is an easy device to setup, aiming to accommodate side sleepers. A logical graphical screen assists the user in the application of the device. A separate step-by-step diagram also is included as reference. Color-coded labels located around the perimeter of the device indicate which sensors to connect and where to connect the sensor leads. The Siesta Group is a Viennese research and clinical software company specialising in polysomnography-scoring (PSG) solutions for sleep centers. This should be big help not only to sleep diagnostic centers but also for the people looking to remedy their sleep issues.
Harrison’s Sleep Disorder Center expanded and renovated by providing adding more capacity and adding new equipment to accommodate and resolve patient issues suffering from sleep disorders. The new look offers a more appealing setup, close to a hotel-like atmosphere, and was completed last September. Patients are prescreened before being referred to the sleep center, to make sure a study would benefit them. Once there, they’re hooked up to a dozen or so wires, each monitoring a different parameter. The suites feature the latest in Philips Respironics sleep diagnostic technology, which provides state of the art monitoring of sleep patterns and recorded symptoms for immediate diagnoses and recommended treatment.
For the people continuously suffering from sleep apnea, Philips Respironics has unveiled a new sleep therapy system that should address people who are having breathing difficulties at night. The new Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machine offers a new bi-level airway pressure technology which delivers a gentle flow of pressurized air through a mask and into the user, keeping their airway open and improving quality of rest. With the growing number of people suffering from sleep apnea, this new system should be a welcome addition. OSA is a common condition that affects more men than women, with about 3.5 per cent of men and 1.5 per cent of women suffering from it in the UK.
Thanks to Philips, a new sleep analyzer system is set to be unveiled in the market. The product is the Alice PDx sleep analyzer which should be a great device to aid people who have issues with obstructive sleep apnea. This device can be set by anyone easily before retiring to sweet slumber. It is important to procure the results generated by the device which should eventually be handed over to sleep specialists via a SD memory card. The device is also useful sleep labs and clinics that cater to cardio-respiratory sleep analysis.
