Daycare Worker Convicted After Drugging Kids to Sleep

For slipping a dietary supplement to make kids sleep, former church daycare worker Pamela Hartley has been sentenced in Cincinnati to time in jail. She slipped the said supplement in candies and gave them to kids for them to sleep.

She was convicted for three counts of child endangering and three counts of misrepresentation by a childcare provider and was sentenced to six months, but all but 30 days of the sentence was suspended. Additionally, she also faces three years of probation.

While it is always a joy to see a baby enter your family, it seems that this is short-lived. As far as this study is concerned, new dads (not moms) suffer from post natal depression three to six months after their new child is born.

The rate of “baby blues” is lower than that of mothers but it seems that when dad’s have to deal with lack of sleep and new responsibilities, the realities of being a father starts to kick in and provide depression all the more.
