Sleep Over Economic Crisis

One thing that is sure to keep people awake these days is being worried over the stock market drops that are causing economic crisis and headaches to people who have heavily invested in them. Thinking about the investments and the money that they are continuously losing by the day is bound to keep you awake, making you think of how to recover from these losses if and when they do stabilize.

Apparently all seems lost for people who feel that they are experiencing these losses everyday. But as they say, “Things can only get better”. Such is easier said than done but just think of new ways to win back the money rather than soak and end up thinking all the time which will give you less sleep. Your health should not diminish in the same way that the stock markets are pummeling.

Just remember, there are always alternatives you can turn to if you are inclined to think of the status of your money in them. Sleeping on it will not help but at least your help is still upbeat and will not coincide with the continuous trend of economic problems. Remember that they can get up, but your health is something more important.

Sleep Drivers

There are times when you cannot avoid the need to go places or drive your car at certain hours of the night. While drivers normally know their capacity to drive a vehicle, it remains that they should know if they are able to drive without falling asleep along the way.

Apparently, there are sleep disorders suffered by some drivers. And if you put it all together, it is quite risky if you consider the fact that you may not know when you would fall asleep while driving. In fact, the study even shows some people who have memory lapses of not even knowing where they came from once they park their car after a long drive.

Hundreds of thousands of UK drivers could be suffering from an undiagnosed sleep disorder which puts them at risk of falling asleep at the wheel, an insurance company has warned.

Some 8% of drivers admit to having fallen asleep at the wheel, and 28% have been known to “microsleep”, meaning they cannot recall certain parts of their journey, according to a survey by esure motor insurance.

Losing Sleep

Can you really use computing to get the proper amount of sleep? Whether you are doing it manually or using this sleep calculator, chances are you are losing sleep regardless of how you look at it. Well some people believe it can be. But you have to consider that sleep should be a natural thing. You cannot use logic to substitute what science deals with regarding sleep issues.

Most people would agree that nothing beats the common belief that sleep should be 6 to 8 hours of our normal body clock. We owe it to ourselves to rest and if we want to lessen health risks and make sure we are always productive, we should consider the fact that sleep is something we cannot compromise with in any degree.

Bad Dreams of Recession

If most businessmen and entrepreneurs had a choice, this bad dream of recession that may soon be plaguing the world is a nightmare that they would want to sleep on. A crisis is upon the world and apparently many of these traders and businessmen will have sleepless nights ahead.

Most of them will be counting and computing figures for sure. Money lost is something that will drive anyone crazy. So with all these issues in mind, who can afford to sleep? Knowing these people, they would rather stay up and look for other means of investing their money. It is just an issue that some people will not pass.

Falling stock markets are a lot more bearable if you know what to expect.

So let’s study a little history. Back in early 2001, the markets were in a position similar to the one they’re in now, and a whiff of panic was in the air. Headlines in the Canadian business press back then show it was justified in the short term, because the ensuing bear market was long and severe.

The longer-term view from today makes all the fearful recriminations of early 2001 look almost quaint by their datedness. Here’s one for you: “Research In Motion shares plummet,” from Jan. 3, 2001. A couple of days later: “Research In Motion continues to spiral.”

Cognitive Mental Disorders

All people reach an age where mental impairment would occur. However, one thing that people don’t know that sleep related issues may have something to do with it as well. Apparently, sleep-breathing problems may contribute towards affecting older people at some point and provide mental disorders which are expected to occur at some elderly state.

Sleep apnea has been known to create problems for people but this mental issue related to it is really something more important to take note of.

Older women with sleep-related breathing problems may have a heightened risk of impairments in thinking and memory, a new study suggests.

The findings, reported in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, suggest that so-called sleep-disordered breathing, including sleep apnea, may be a risk factor for age-related cognitive decline.
