How Long Would Pillows Need to be?
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung May 18th, 2007 in SLEEP Fun, SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP Psychology, Sleep Myths.
For some people, the habit of sleeping in positions where they would want to embrace something like long body pillows may be a necessity. Some would call it an add-on that a person can sleep without but if comfort would be stressed, it would be appropriate to have such designed pillows in tow to ensure overall sleep convenience for people who want to be comfortable by all means and bounds.
Many would not understand the idea behind the whole scenario. It may be a habit or a mannerism. But overall, it is something that cannot be questioned for people who are already used to it. At some point, people would feel something missing when they sleep and among them would include these specially designed pillows that a person would want to have in tow to ensure a truly complete bed rest for them.

Do You Really need a Blanket?
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung May 16th, 2007 in SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP Psychology, Sleep Myths. Some people find it hard to sleep without their usual sleeping paraphernalia and this would include that of blankets. Blankets would usually be a need for climates where cold weather may require people to snuggle up and warm certain parts of their body. Among these warmth needs include that of the hands, body and the feet. Normally, these blankets can help provide some control in low degree temperatures and hence has become a reason to why people have always looked for them.
For some people, many would find it strange to see people wanting a blanket for the purpose of completing the usual bed accessories that they are used to. Some would even use blankets even on warm days which is totally weird. There is a mental aspect involved in such and people could care less.
Comfort in sleeping is all that matters and regardless if there are reasons behind people wanting to have blankets around or not, it seems that they have become more of security blankets rather than their actual purpose for being made and available.

Pillows for the Proper Head Rest
1 Comment Published by Brian Yalung May 16th, 2007 in How to sleep better, SLEEP Fun, SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP Psychology.A bed is not complete without the use of pillows to act as supporters for the head, neck, arms and legs of a person. Some would find it hard to sleep without them, and this has been something that has been very curious. Some may attribute it to habits while some would associate them with the search for that comfortable position that they call overall relaxation. Whatever of the two is the reason; people just cannot have a complete bed rest without pillows by their side.
Pillows come in all shapes, sizes and makes. Some prefer hard pillows, while some would love the softer ones. It would all depend on what makes people comfy.
For some, elevating parts of their body such as their arms and legs is a need. This has a therapeutic insignia to it, the blood flow in these parts of which is the important point for consideration. Therapists would usually advise patients about these positions which may become a habit. For others though, such a position has become inherent for them, making it a preferable position outside the usual bed setup they would have in their rooms.

Reading to Force Your Eyes to Shutdown
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung May 15th, 2007 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, SLEEP Fun, SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP Psychology.
People who find they having trouble sleeping would be usually directed towards some matters where they can find themselves with heavy eyelids and soon after finding themselves hitting the sack. The trouble with sleeping for some is the fact that they tend to think a lot or may get anxious moments. Sleep is something we all look for, but the occurrences of such current events and issues in our lives will always be an obstacle in gaining proper sleeping habits.
For most, sleeping is hard in certain times, especially in crisis. Many cannot totally relax hence the need to find alternative measures to make the mind and the human eye get tired. Heavy eyes would force a person to get some shuteye, and altogether this experience would lead to them having to finally snooze away the night.
Reading books, magazines or any known reading material is expected to get the job done. It just needs proper recognition and timing. The importance of enriching our minds on information is one thing but getting enough sleep to recharge our energy levels is another point for consideration as well.
