The Medieval Approach to Sleeping Safely and Better
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 26th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP News, Sleep Issues.
Crime rates and trespassers have been a growing concern and for some people, buying firearms such as guns may not necessarily help in making them sleep better. The point is to have some form of protection in such emergency cases so as far as this is concerned, why not check out this 2-in-1 deal; a bedside table that can be also used as a bat and shield.
This certainly hits two issues with one blow. Bedside tables serve as usual room enhancers or places where you can put jewelry or your clocks. In times of emergencies, just grab the leg and use the table top and you can protect yourself from any intrusion that may occur.

Sepracor Invades Europe with Lunivia Sleep Drug
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 24th, 2008 in Health Issues, SLEEP News, Sleep Cures, Sleeping Pills.
Though the name may be different, it is still the same old sleeping drug Lunesta that has been named differently once it is approved for distribution in Europe. Sepracor is reportedly planning to penetrate the Europe market to help insomniacs residing here. However, Lunesta is already a familiar brand and perhaps changing it catered towards the Europeans can help ease the impressions that some have seen as negative due to some issues.
The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use gave a “positive opinion” on the drug, which Sepracor (nasdaq: SEPR - news - people ) wants to market in Europe under the name Lunivia. CHMP makes recommendations to the European Medicines Agency, which approves or rejects the applications.
The approval for Lunivia is still in process and once it does, don’t be surprised if you hear of a new sleeping drug in the market. It is something that is already familiar to you.

Mumba Dies in Sleep
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 22nd, 2008 in Health Issues, SLEEP Celebrity, SLEEP News.
Not all of us are perhaps familiar with Mumba, Granby Zoo’s silverback gorilla. Mumba was a one of a kind gorilla, coming close to adopting the human way of living. He enjoyed listening to soft rock and jazz, and watching Scooby Doo cartoons on television.
But similar to most people who reach their old age, Mumba the Gorilla died in his sleep of natural causes at the age of 48 or 90 if you count the human years.
Mumba was seen by almost 20 million people who wanted to get a glimpse of this one of a kind animal.
Mumba leaves no descendants. Attempts to mate him with three female gorillas failed. Naturalists suggest that was because he was raised by humans and bonded with them for the first two years of his life.

Post Orgasms Make Men Sleep Easier
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 21st, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Cures, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Sex and sleep are practically partners. Especially for couples, the issue of having sex and then going to sleep would depend on the mood and of course the time when both are willing to let off some steam. But as far as the men are concerned, there are scientific findings which link hormones released as a result of a male orgasm called prolactin that can entirely help a male sleep better.
“This hormone appears to be linked to the feeling of sexual satisfaction and it is also thought to be responsible for the recovery time a man needs before commencing sexual activity again.’’
So for people who have their reservations on sleeping soundly after having sex, here is your proof.
