When we travel using public transportation, would it not be embarrassing for fail to get off the right stop because we fall asleep? Well it does happen anywhere and while you would want to be spared the embarrassment of being told that this is your stop, Pyocatan has unveiled the Noriko-san sleep mask that features an electronic display that scrolls your destination so other passengers know when you need to get off the train.
So on your next train ride, check this out. Other than being cool, it keeps you occupied from all that boredom of taking train rides here and there.

Heartland Hottie Star Dies in Sleep
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 18th, 2008 in Health Issues, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders.
The worst thing you would want to hear is for someone to die while sleeping. We have heard quite a number of these in local towns and for this Heartland Hottie star, very little may be known about her. Miss Sai Fengmin was a good model to take pictures of but no thanks to a bump on the head that eventually was becoming serious leading to brain injury.
These days a slight knock on the head can no longer be taken for granted. Worst, it may do its traitorous work while you are sleeping so be sure to see a doctor in minor and major cases that involves your head and the brain.
Miss Sai died in her sleep on Thursday.
It was a shocking end to an inexplicable turn of events that began a month earlier, when she knocked her head against a glass door.

As a result, Jan Luedecke has been ordered to undergo a new trial for raping a woman at a party. He has claimed to be suffering from this sleep-like state which is a mental disorder. However, proof to support his claims like tests to see the validity of his claims has been called for.
“The respondent personifies one of the most difficult problems encountered in the criminal law,” Mr. Justice David Doherty said. “As a result of his parasomnia, he did a terrible thing – he sexually assaulted a defenceless, young victim.

Sleep Out for a Cause
1 Comment Published by Brian Yalung October 16th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Events, Sleep Issues.
There are a lot of people homeless these days and for sure, they are deprived of the proper sleeping habits mainly because they find themselves in strange places without the benefit of an ideal sleep setting.
For the fortunate people like us, we do not have the luxury of understanding such inconvenience. But this cause being made via the Fourth Annual Siouxland Sleep-Out at the Lewis and Clark Park on November 7 should help give us an idea of just how the people without homes manage to sleep despite such outdoor conditions.
There are around 21,000 homeless people in Iowa, according to Wood, and about 600 of them live in Siouxland. He said he expects those numbers to continue to grow due to flooding in eastern Iowa and the staggering economy.
“Poverty is the basic reason for homelessness, and certainly the poverty level increases as a result of the economy,” he said. “There’s got to be some trickle-down effect for that.”

Sleep Deprived Students Need Help
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 15th, 2008 in How to sleep better, Insomnia, SLEEP News, Sleep Disorders, Sleep Issues.
Other than getting the right education, most students have to deal with sleep deprivation sooner or later to keep up with the strains of fulfilling requirements for school. We see today that teenagers no longer have the luxury of taking their time before they study and hit the sack. These days, they have to be fully aware that untimely insertion of extra-curricular activities is like taking the place of sleep time.
This is not to condone their acts. But the fact of the matter is even the standard student has to sacrifice sleep for his studies. Factors? Well the school time is one. They are expected to go to classes early and leave late. Add the need to review some lessons and you will find that they will need to stay up late to ensure they complete their assignments and reports. Sleep? It can come later and that is where sleep deprivation and insomnia set in.
