Aside from the irritating noise, snoring is a dangerous symptom of a possible health disorder mainly because if affects the respiratory system of humans and may attack whenever we find ourselves sleeping. There are sleeping masks and sleeping pills that have been introduced to the people concerned and apparently there is a new pill known only as BGC20-0166 which target areas of the brain and control the muscles of a sleeper’s airway and airflow. Proper breathing is equally important for people with sleep problems. Obstructive sleep apnea is no joke and snoring is sure to set off some problems if they are not treated properly along the way. The new drug is a combination of two existing anti-snoring drugs and in limited trials has so far proved more effective than either of the two drugs used independently, or a placebo. ‘The results from this trial demonstrate the potential of this drug to decrease sleep apnoea in some patients and normalise it in others,’ Thomas Roth, an advisor to the life sciences company BTG who are researching the drug and director … Continue reading →
a

However, the discipline of sleeping on time takes a severe blow as most of these kids would end up playing endlessly as they would want. Sleep problems thus originate. Sleep is needed by the human body to be able to recharge and regenerate their bodies and apparently with game consoles such as the Xbox and the Playstation 3, don’t be surprised if you have to remind your kids what time it is and even scold them since they are too glued on the game to even notice the time.
The Oscars may have been finished and not all favorite actors or actresses came home as the winner. But as a form of consolation, most of the actors didn’t go home empty-handed. Most of them were given a special sleeping mask, the GLOtoSleep masks, to help assist them in sleep disorder problems that most may be suffering from. It is a fact that most of these celebrities has had to deal with the said sleeping problems, bulk of which were caused by the excitement of possibly winning in the 2008 Oscars. While many had sleepless nights, for the celebrities with recurring sleep problems, this gift is indeed something worthy to help get back to their normal courses of sleep. Recipients of an ongoing good nights sleep, courtesy of the GLOtoSLEEP™ mask, were Best Actor Nominees: George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Tommy Lee Jones, and Viggo Mortensen; Best Supporting Actor Nominees: Casey Affleck, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Hal Holbrook and Tom Wilkinson; Best Supporting Actress Nominees: Cate Blanchett, Julie Christie, Laura Linney and Ellen Page and Best Actress Nominees: Ruby Dee, Saoirse Ronan and Amy Ryan.
Most of us encounter some problems associated with sleep. While we often shrug them off and never mind them, they can develop into potential risks that can totally become serious health risks and problems if we let them get out of hand. Normally, we only pay attention to sleep disorders once they become irritating and disturbing. But the thing is sleep problems should be treated in the same way we would have any problems with our health. To be able to understand what is truly wrong with us, such problems should be brought to the attention of the specialists. So if you cannot find proper cure from medication and therapy, why not make your break a sleep retreat session to get to the bottom of this problem. Basing it on what has been reported, it is really something that will attract people, both sleep disorder patients and the people who simply want some adventure of a different kind. “The three packages available offer an intense revolutionary program aimed at identifying the major areas contributing to the individual’s sleep issues,” Dr Samvat said. “It makes the treatment and clinic more accessible to people with busy lifestyles as the packages are intense and concentrated so that results can be achieved in a shorter period. “Sleep therapy packages are also ideal for the corporate market, such as business executives who lead a high-pressure working lifestyle. … Continue reading →
a

Ideally, sleep disorder and problems have been alarming today. Many people have treated sleep disorders such as sleep apnea as something that should not be taken for granted. While the health awareness connected with sleep problems may be considered more in-depth to date, the natural means of trying out the usual sleeping alternatives should be first exhausted before medical attention would be resorted to. People do not really need much of an orientation like of style to know the alternative ways of sleeping properly. Drinking hot milk, creating the proper room atmosphere but most of all disciplining them on what needs to be done to get the needed sleep are the normal ways of treating such an epidemic. It is only after all of these have been done would people be pushed towards seeking medical advice. At this point, the gravity of the sleeping disorder will truly need medical intervention.
