Advice to the Sleep Deprived Employee on Shifts
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung August 8th, 2008 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, Sleep Business, Sleep Issues.
Traditionally, all employees and workers look forward to the standard 8 to 5 job. With that in mind, you just have to follow the regular sleeping pattern to which most would find their way to bed by 9 in the evening.
But for people who work on changing shifts, adjusting the sleep pattern may not be that easy. For most, drowsiness and that heavy feeling is there especially if you are fresh from a previous work shift schedule.
So what is a person to do. Well for one, you have to get used to it if you are decided to keep that job of yours. The transition is not that easy. Imagine coming of an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift and then working on an 11 p.m. to 8 p.m. shift. You are bound to encounter preliminary headaches and of course sleeping difficulties. But after a couple of days, your body clock will adjust accordingly until perhaps the next shift schedule.
Most people who suffer from this issue come from the call centers and the medical sector. But considering how hard it is today to get a job, they are left with few options. The worst part of it is that this sleep disorder will haunt them for years to come. Being accustomed to such is really something that people have to realize. It just will not go easily compared to how it came.
Finally, you are really just left with two choices:
1. Bear with the job and adjust to the job requirement needs.
2. Consider a career change or look for another similar job that may not be entirely demanding as far as ruining your regular body clock cycle.
The choice is really all up to you.

The Reasons Behind Insomnia
2 Comments Published by Brian Yalung May 13th, 2007 in How to sleep better, SLEEP Psychology, Sleep Disorders. At some point, most people would encounter some sleeping difficulties. This usually stems from stress or a lot of thinking. People who encounter some deadlines in their work or studies are susceptible to developing insomnia since most of the time; they have to push themselves to the limit to exert that extra effort and time to be able to get their tasks done.

Insomnia is a hard habit to break. Many people have encountered various ways of trying to conquer it but unfortunately, it has ballooned to proportions where they have to resort to. This includes seeking medical attention and taking some medicines to help get rid of this dreaded sleeping disorder.
Insomnia is indeed a sleep disorder but can be curable by anyone if they have the will power to overcome it. It may be difficult at first but the thing is, with perseverance and will power, anyone can conquer this unwanted disorder by their own means.
