There is another iPhone app in the market which should aid sleep deprived people to resolve their sleeping problems. The new app is called the Sleep Cycle app which turns your iPhone into a virtual sleep tracker. It makes use of the iPhone’s sensor which monitors movement. Sleep Cycle uses these fluctuations to create a nightly record of your sleep, which it presents to you each morning in the form of a graph. More remarkably still, it uses this information to decide when you’ve reached the optimal point in your cycle to wake up. Then it assists you back to consciousness with soothing music.
Again the iPhone has covered another part of our lives, particularly the ones with sleeping problems. The Reggie White Sleep Disorder Research and Education Foundation has releases a free iPhone app which aids users in finding out if they are at risk of sleep apnea. It combines three screening tools used by sleep specialists to determine an individual’s risk of having or developing the sleep disorder that affects 18 million Americans. It provides immediate feedback once users provide answers to questions regarding their sleep habits, snoring, fatigue, and health factors. Indeed, this is one sleep gadget that can gather some data to properly evaluate the sleep apnea issues one has to deal with. The app is free for download and can be obtained here.
The Internet seems to be the savior of most people as far as learning and communication is concerned but now it looks like a new Internet software will help the sleepless in their various sleeping problems. The Internet program is called SHUTi. SHUTi makes use of interactive animation, games, quizzes and diaries to help sleep victims explore sleep deficiencies and get advice to improve their sleeping habits. The program also calculates a window of time during which patients are permitted to sleep. For sure a lot of people remain apprehensive on what this program can do. But seeing as the need for sleep cures has grown throughout the years, this is one instance where you just have to try out anything to get something going.
The never-ending story behind the real cause of death of Michael Jackson continues. Sleeping aids were said to be the reason and while many presumed that it was a mild case of overdose, new evidence shows it was way beyond that. And according to the Washington post, the sleep aid was Propofol. What the heck is Propofol? Propofol, also known as Diprivan, is an IV anesthetic agent typically used in operating rooms to put patients to sleep in about a minute. In drip form, it keeps them asleep. It’s reserved for procedures where a patient would otherwise be uncomfortable — say, plastic surgery, a colonoscopy or hip replacement — but must be meticulously monitored because the drug can stop a person’s breathing. Propofol is fairly easy for a doctor to acquire, but is never intended for home use, where proper equipment to resuscitate a patient is typically absent We are all aware of the sleeping problems of Michael Jackson and how extreme he could get just to get some good sleep. And so now the question remains, did Michael Jackson want it or did his physician purposely give it to hear the end of Michael’s continued complaint about his sleep … Continue reading →
a

The never-ending story behind the real cause of death of Michael Jackson continues. Sleeping aids were said to be the reason and while many presumed that it was a mild case of overdose, new evidence shows it was way beyond that. And according to the Washington post, the sleep aid was Propofol.

What the heck is Propofol?

Propofol, also known as Diprivan, is an IV anesthetic agent typically used in operating rooms to put patients to sleep in about a minute. In drip form, it keeps them asleep.
For now, all eyes are on his physician, Conrad Murray who has been treating Jackson’s Insomnia problem. He claimed that he feared Michael was growing addicted to it, referring to it as milk. If he knew this from the start, then why didn’t he stop it? Well, it looks like Dr. Murray is in a very deep hole!

This should be good news for people who doubt the ability of sleep centers in helping fight off obstructive sleep apnea. Based on an internal study that SleepQuest made, they found that their patients comply with the Obstructive Sleep Apnea treatment at a rate nearly twice the industry average. “Compliance is dependent upon the caregiver’s expertise with the many different complications that might occur with PAP treatment,” said Robert Koenigsberg, SleepQuest President/CEO. “Our resolute focus is to troubleshoot problems that patients may experience and to find the right solutions for them.” “Our Sleep Care Specialists work directly with patients and their doctors to find the solution that works best and is easiest to sustain,” said Koenigsberg. “We help our patients feel better as they continue their treatment.
The Sleep Sound Generator has been around for quite some time and rarely would you see this device in the market. In fact, it may be something that was only made available to a few people who have had issues with sleeping soundly. But the fact of the matter is that it does seem to be mean to produce sound to make you sleep better. The Original Sleep Sound Generator only makes one sound, the one that works best to help you sleep. Ocean waves, birds chirping, and babbling brooks are uneven tones that may create more anxiety by your expectation of them. In a manner of speaking, it looks like the sound of nature boxed in one gadget. It looks like that nature is the solution for all our sleeping problems, the sound of nature to be exact. Hence why not get them all in one pillow where all you have to do is lie down with them in hand? The dream pillow is typically an all-cotton, crescent-moon shaped pillow filled with different herbs, such as chamomile, lavender, roses, rosemary, hops and Mugwort to help relax and soothe the nervous system by calming stress. Hops is usually the most common herb in a sleep pillow. Some homemade pillows are made using a four-by-four-inch square of stitched muslin or lace or an antique handkerchief containing a separate gathered sack of herbal combinations. Maybe a dream pillow is all that we need to fend off the sleeping problems we all have to address. Rather than take them individually, why not get a one package design and sleep easy and healthily?
Here is something sleep deprived people may want to consider. Many have turned to sleeping pills and over the counter sleep aids but it seems that these have not helped people who have had chronic sleeping problems. FluidEssentials Inc. seems to have a better solution with its TotalSleep supplement that focuses on raising low serotonin levels, which is “a root cause of most sleeplessness. “The unique formula in TotalSleep increases serotonin levels naturally, helping you fall asleep more easily, stay asleep longer and wake up ready to go,” he explained. “Healthy serotonin levels also mean improved response to stress, fewer carbohydrate cravings, reduced tension and increased energy and focus throughout the day.” So rather than give up on the search for sleep solutions, here is something that may just work for you.

“Healthy serotonin levels also mean improved response to stress, fewer carbohydrate cravings, reduced tension and increased energy and focus throughout the day.”

So rather than give up on the search for sleep solutions, here is something that may just work for you.

Sleep deprivation has been linked to other health issues such as obesity and heart problems and that alone has become a reason to take sleep problems entirely serious. With an elite group of specialists and providing home sleep testing, the sleep deprived can now expect better attention and diagnoses for their lingering obstructive sleeping problems. Dr. Lawrence J. Because untreated sleep apnea has been linked to health problems such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease, it is crucial that as many at-risk patients as possible be tested and treated. The Big Sleep Show is a first of its kind, aimed at helping the sleep deprived people we have today and perhaps show them ways of remedying their sleeping problems. There are a lot of people who have inherited this dreaded sleeping problem and apparently most of them will be trooping down to Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. which hosts a wide array of gadgets and mattresses that can really be a big help for people who want to get the proper sleep due to them. The show, which organizers say is one of the first of its kind, is the latest sign of a booming, multibillion-dollar industry geared toward the 70 million Americans believed to suffer from sleep problems. Though scientists say it’s not clear whether people’s sleep has grown worse in recent years, it has by some accounts become scarcer: A survey by the federal government found that compared with 1985, more people today get by on six hours or less. The average adult needs seven to nine.
The good news is you will get to sleep more as you get to that retirement age. The bad news is that sleeping problems are expected to worsen as you reach this age. With these two things in mind, you may be asking if growing old is indeed something great to look forward to. Apparently, these are health related. The abuses our bodies have had in the years of our lives are contributory marks towards getting good sleep. But while we yearn for good sleep once we reach these latter ages, perhaps it would be best to assess ourselves at this point to see how our future holds for us realistically. One report finds persistent insomnia can lead to depression in the elderly, especially in those getting standard care for depression in primary care settings. The study looked at 1,801 elderly patients aged 60 or older with major depression. It shows patients with persistent insomnia were 1.8 to 3.5 times more likely to remain depressed compared with patients without insomnia. Another new study finds older people with cognitive impairment are more likely to have sleep problems.

The 102 participants were between the ages of 59 and 96, had a clinical diagnosis of cognitive impairment, slept an average of seven hours or less each night, and slept during the day for 30 minutes or longer. Results show 21.6 percent of them had at least one painful condition and 45.1 percent were diagnosed with depression.

The way we look towards how we can sleep naturally is a plaguing problem that is besetting most people today. While we all know that it may sound easy to lie down and close our eyes, it is not that simple. Sleeping problems are apparent these days and more people are seeking alternative to get good sleep other than to rely on the usual sleeping tablets that others have relied on. Thanks to the efforts of sleep specialists and companies, a natural way of remedying this issue has been offered today. Glo to Sleep masks, a viable Earth-friendly alternative to the tens of millions of sleeping pills ingested daily – and eventually flushed into the water table, with the packaging making its way into landfills and recycling plants – which with its inert points of glow converts disruptive beta waves into calming alpha waves. With this in tow, you can now avoid the usual sleeping pills to get some sleep. Try out the natural ways. The difference in it may be critical to your overall health.
