Here is something that should blend in nicely for people who have gotten one of those alarm clocks which require you to shoot the target to kill the irritating alarm. The Bang! Desk Lamp comes with a remote controlled gun which turns it off in case you are too lazy to reach for the on/off button.

Simply aim the remote-controlled gun onto the lamp and you can control it from afar. Hence, in case you are reading and the lamp is far from you, aim and shoot at it. Fire the “gun”, the light goes out and the lampshade knocks to the side, shoot it again, and the lampshade rises up slowly and the light back turns back on.

Shoot the Clock Alarm Clock

This is not the first time that we have heard about a shoot the alarm clock. While we did see that alarm clock where you had to shoot the target to make it stop annoying you, here is another cooky alarm clock you may want to check out.

This time, this alarm clock looks more modern and realistic, carrying an amalgamation of metal and plastic. As you would guess, the gun acts as the remote control that will stop the alarm whenever you point it at the taxi image embedded on the face of the clock. The alarm clock runs on a couple AA batteries for the gun remote and three AA batteries for the clock itself. The clock costs about £22.95.

Another Massive Crib Recall

It seems that 2009 is garnering the year of recalls, ranging from toys, cars and now cribs. There have been some recalls made earlier this year and now we have one that concerns Stork Craft. Apparently, issues such as entrapment, falls, and suffocation are once again being pointed out and for the new parents and others who are still making use of cribs, be aware of the one you are using. Here is a list of cribs affected:

Stork Craft drop-side cribs and Stork Craft drop-side cribs with the Fisher-Price logo
Cribs with plastic trigger and one-hand-system drop-side hardware
Stork Craft cribs with manufacturing and distribution dates between January 1993 and October 2009
Stork Craft cribs with the Fisher-Price logo that have manufacturing dates between October 1997 and December 2004

Retailers in the U.S. and Canada selling the cribs include BJ’s Wholesale Club, J.C. Penney, Kmart, Meijer, Sears, USA Baby, and Wal-Mart stores and online at Amazon.com, Babiesrus.com, Costco.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com from January 1993 through October 2009. The cribs retail value is between $100 and $400. If you happen to be among the unfortunate, contact Stork Craft immediately. As for your baby, you may have to co-sleep with them for a while but be careful or let them get the bed for now!
