Many may not be familiar with the SleepBox which was still in the concept stages some years ago. This is actually a small solution made for travelers where they could snatch a couple of winks in a hotel-like fashion. But now it seems this concept has been infused into reality over at the Moscow International Airport. And just when critics saw it as something that would never work, it seems to be doing just fine. The Arch Group has changed the construction materials from plastic to wood with minimum reservations from 15 minutes to as much as an hour. Especially for travelers who may encounter delays and end up sleeping by the public benches, the SleepBox could be a better alternative to render more convenient sleep. Moscow has started it so could the rest of the world follow soon?
Though this watch was meant for working yuppies, the Lunchtime Lengthening Clock could probably be ideal for people who want some additional winks before getting up. The clock reportedly speeds up by 20% once 11 am strike and slows down by 20% as well when the clock read 11:48 a.m. This will allow for an extra hour worth of lunch for the whole week. Not only that , it will be back in sync in 1:00 PM real time when the 1:12 PM lunchbreak ends. So how does this size up with sleepers? Well if there was a way to synchronize the time to perhaps 6:00 a.m., just imagine the snooze time you can get from it. Unfortunately this timepiece is not available for buying so that practically negates all hopes of having one designed for the lazy peeps. And of course, it needs further enhancements like an actual alarm and if you have work that accommodates flexi time.
For people who find themselves on the go at times, it would be best to consider a siesta or a short nap before proceeding with your daily chores. Many would not have this privilege especially if they are in an office. However they can try to steal a couple of winks when they are on lunch break. Remember that breaks are given normally up to an hour and for people taking meals, sometimes you can finish eating way beyond the final seconds of your break time. People need to recharge midway at times. Short as it may you may be surprised at the difference that short stolen naps can provide especially in terms of productivity. The siesta has been around for thousands of years and was even regarded as a necessity, rather than a luxury. It is still widely practiced in Spain today, though they also use it to get out of the sun during the hottest part of the day and can therefore take as long as two hours to rest.
