Many would call it a psychological factor but colors and visualization do have a bearing in the mind of any person. Such is what can be said from the Aurora Color Changing Clock which offers a large visual for the time and allows user to set the colors as they wish.
A little bit of work depending on how often you would set the color but something that you can look forward to when it comes to sleeping and waking up at the right time.
The Aurora Color Changing Clock has a LCD display that is much larger than standard and makes it super easy to see it from across a larger space. However, if you’re willing to set to mind 12 different colors that correspond with the 12 numeric hours of the day and night, you can just glance at the clock, note the color, and understand what time it is.

I-Sleep for Better Office Naps
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 8th, 2008 in SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP News, Sleep Business.
From prior posts, we have been narrating various news articles on how companies have recognized the value of sleep in employees. While some companies allow nap times, there may be an issue as far as allowing workers to make the most out of their sleeping privileges. Among them include sleeping at the very first second that the time for sleep comes.
Just like some sleep aids, here is something that can help an employee sleep comfortably. The I-Sleep is actually just like a normal pillow that you can place on your work desk where you can slide your head and get the right sleeping position for your head.
Another problem the i-sleep doesn’t address: many bosses don’t understand the concept that a 10-minute nap is not laziness, but in fact aid productivity–though that doesn’t really matter since this is just an idea for a school project and not a real product.

Ventilation Reduces Risk of SIDS
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 7th, 2008 in Health Issues, How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Issues.
SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) can be avoided if you try to avoid sleeping with your child or making sure that he sleeps in the crib with the right amount of baby pillows. But in light of all these issues, did you know that ventilation is all that is needed to avoid the dreaded SIDS?
SIDS mainly stems from suffocation and logically, providing proper ventilation in the room for your baby is obvious. Adding a fan that is steadily aimed at the child may be great to avoid lack of air in some instances.
But while that is one thing apparent to avoid it, it is best to still make sure that while at their infancy stages, avoid sleeping with them if you lack the responsibility of putting in mind that you are beside a child when you doze off.
New research found that using the fan to improve air circulation and reduce the temperature around a baby could reduce the risk of the condition by up to 94 per cent.

Avoid the Stiff Neck from Sleep Syndrome
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 6th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP News, Sleep Issues.
If you don’t sleep in the right position, chances are some of your body parts will become sore. Leading the pack of potential issues include that of your neck and your arms. Normally, sleeping as freely as we can is advised. But at some point, we just have to admit that there are sleeping positions that we prefer that are not suitable at all.
Stiff neck is a state that anyone would hate. While we fail to feel that disorder in deep slumber, once you wake up, chances are you would be cursing the way you slept. It is indeed uncomfortable but basing it on how you can improve your sleep position, chances are you may see it recurring.
“Most instances of what people call a ‘crick in the neck’ are caused by a person’s positioning while asleep,” says Dr. Brian Bruel, an assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center with dual appointments in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and anesthesiology and pain management. “You’re sleeping with your neck at a weird angle, and that causes muscle strain.”

The Silent Alarm Clock
0 Comments Published by Brian Yalung October 5th, 2008 in How to sleep better, SLEEP Gadgets, SLEEP News, Sleep Issues.
When it is time to get up, chances are you would not want the irritating sound of a noisy alarm clock around. As much as possible, you would want to get up as fresh as you can and apparently there are some alarm clocks that do not necessarily do it that way.
The Silent Alarm clock however is an innovative gadget that is sure to negate all of this. Rather than hearing those noisy chimes or sounds that irritate you, a ring is all you would need to which will wake you up. Want to snooze? Shake you hand and it will automatically do so without the usual hitting of alarm clocks we have all been used to doing and seeing from lazy sleepers.
“Silence” is a conceptual alarm clock that will wake you up without emitting any sound. If you need to be awoken, you simply wear a special wireless rubber ring. When the designated alarm time comes, the clock will send a signal to the ring which will generate a tactile alarm. If you wish to continue your sleep, just shake your hand to activate the snooze function. As time goes on, further snoozes will be harder to generate, requiring more vigorous shaking each time.
